Our founders picked the name Beth Tikvah Congregation (House of Hope) because they hoped their fledgling congregation would survive.  Beth Tikvah has done more than survive. It has become a Jewish home and a stronghold of Jewish observance and learning in the Northwest suburbs for thousands of people over the years. Today it is our home.

As you light the festive holiday candles this year, think not only of the dedication of the Temple in Jerusalem in years gone by, but of our own congregation and its future.  Donations of any amount are welcome.  If you would like to complete your donation over time, pledges are also welcome.

History of the Endowment Fund
The Beth Tikvah Endowment Fund was established in 1999 to help ensure that Beth Tikvah would continue to thrive for generations to come. Income from the fund is used to promote and maintain the religious, educational, social, and cultural activities of the congregation. 

In 2006, the Endowment Fund was increased dramatically as a result of the successful Seigle Family Challenge.  The congregation contributed $200,000, which was matched by an additional $100,000 by long-time members Harry and Susan Seigle.

The Endowment Fund's income helped underwrite the Rabbi Joe Black Concert at the 2008 membership picnic. Both current and prospective members enjoyed the event.
