Weekly Adult Hebrew Classes -7p.m. Beginner Hebrew /8p.m. Intermediate Hebrew

Book Club - 1st Monday of every month 7:30p.m., Next Text Selections: "The Year of   
                     Living Biblically"  by A. J. Jacobs  and "Those Who Save Us" by Jenna Blum.

Tuesday

Translating the Bible - Weekly Adult Hebrew Class, 6:30-7:30p.m., Rabbi’s Office

Thursday

Off Site Senior Study Session - 1st Thursday of the month, 10:00-11:30, discuss a 
                                           variety of thought provoking topics. Call the Temple for location.

Saturday

Torah Study - 9am Weekly on Shabbat mornings, informal discussion and learning.  Glean
                          insights from the weekly Torah portion.

Sunday Morning Adult Study -9:15-10:30 in the Rabbi’s Office

Session 2

Medieval Jewish History:How did Judaism Become what it is Today? November 4th and 18th December 2nd, 9th, and 16th Together we will trace the Jewish Diaspora and examine significant philosophical and cultural trends from the year 300 to the Enlightenment.

Session 3

Jewish Love, Sex, and Marriage: From the Bible to the Present Day /January 20th and January 27th /  February 3rd , 10th , 17th  and 24th In this class we will explore the meaning of love, lust, and commitment as seen through our tradition from Biblical times to the present day. During the course of this class we will explore the following topics:
o The true meaning of marriage
o The joys and perils of sexual attraction
o Homosexuality
o The meaning of love

Session 4

Exploration of Jewish America / March 2nd  and March 9th /April 6th , 13th , and 27th Jews have been on this continent for 350 years. We will explore how the Jewish community came to be how it is today. We will look at the growth of the community, regional difference, political power and current trends.

A Taste of Passover

Join Beth Tikvah for a multi-sensory Passover learning experience. We will taste Passover traditional foods and wines, while experiencing the music of the holiday. We will also learn how to make the Seder a learning experience for the entire family.
